MOTHERS

my 2 cents on mom's

I was 19 years old when I had my 1st child & newly married.
I had no idea what I was doing. I struggled to breastfeed. I was a helicopter parent. I had a limit of people who could watch her. I decided to give her the bottle because it was to much stress on me because she didn't want to latch.
I had my 2nd child are 21 yrs old. I thought yes I'm going to try this breastfeeding thing again. and it worked. she nursed for 10 months.
I'm one to want to potty train as soon as possible. My 1st was trained within 2 months of her sister being born. (23 months) 2nd child at 20 months.
I was secret with nursing. HATED doing it in front of people unless you were my husband or my mom. I was one to go home or sit in the car to feed her. I gave my 1st an iPad early on. she was able to go in and out of apps early.
and drink juice. alot of juice. water rarely.
my 3rd at 23. I thought well my 2nd nursed so well... why not try again. he is 5 months and going strong. & I'm not as scared to hide it. or feed while sitting at the restaurant table. or even the middle of a mariners game. He refuses a bottle.
I still am very certain who watches my children tho. They're my babies. I love them way to much.
now:
I let them have "screen time" I don't watch them 24/7 and occasionally get into things. I'm not super good with crafts and being a pinterest mom. most days I'm trying to hold myself together to get thru the day. I love my oldest in school because it gives me a break from 3 kids. I'll admit that. 3 kids is so so hard. & by bedtime I'm ready to just quit and be done. some nights I don't want to do story and prayer. just put them in their room and be done for the day. I push thru. I am not perfect. I love my kids. I let them eat junk. I'm not a huge cook. My kids hate broccoli. haha. but love green beans.
I'll pick my battles. some days my kids are wearing pjs. others they are so cute. most days I look homeless. But some days I actually put a bra on and make myself pretty.
All mom's have their way of doing things. If they choose to:
formula feed. breastfeed.
cloth diapers. disposable diapers.
have kids close together. have them farther apart.
potty train before 2. or at 3.
have screen time. restrict screen time.
be a healthy person. let them eat crap.
helicopter parent. be more distant.
vaginal birth. c-section
have many kids. have just 1.
and the list can go on.

My point:
Don't judge other mothers. All mom's have their opinions what's best for their child. Some mom's are perfectly perfect. and others are a mess but hold it together.
Doesn't mean we are bad mom's if we slip a little on going crazy. we are human.
I am a human holding it together for my kids. Day by day. I do what's best for them. even if I have little to no sleep & look homeless.

love you mom's:) we are super hero's in our kids eyes 😚
