Fun in the Sun

Family Park Day

Since Alleah is napping I decided to procrastinate folding laundry and write a little blog post. Better use of my time right?!

Last week Joey got off work early and so we decided to go pick up my parents dog and go to the park. Alleah had never been to the park really. I wanted to let her swing on the baby swing. She loved it. At first she wasn't to sure about it, but by the end she was loving it.

Daddy's Little Girl

Alleah Loves her Daddy

I LOVE this picture :)

Lately I have noticed how much different Alleah acts towards different people. Most people she doesn't really know she acts like "who the heck are you." Takes her awhile to warm up to people.. then there is daddy.

One of the main reasons I love Joey is he loves kids. He is such a great dad to Alleah. She is so lucky to have him as her daddy. He works hard for her :) Watching him with Alleah makes me love him even more!

That's the look of love :)

So much joy

Alleah gets so excited when daddy walks through the door after work. Just recently she really has recognized Joey as her dad. (at least she's been showing it) Yes babies know who their parents are even when they're in the womb, but Alleah shows it now.

When he walks through the door she screams and drops everything she has and crawls to him. Joey is so proud of how excited she gets. He likes to say she will be a daddy's girl. (Alleah will definitely have daddy wrappd around her finger) Joey calls us on his lunch breaks I put the phone on speaker so Alleah can hear.. she just gets so dang excited! She giggles, smiles, and even screams. She definitely knows her daddy's voice. She loves it when daddy comes home and plays with her. She just has so much fun! Alleah has even started to cry when daddy leaves for work :( It's so heart breaking, but cute.

She follows him everywhere at home and tries to climb onto the where he is sitting. She just always wants to be around him. Once daddy is home... mommy gets ignored. Alleah even looks like her daddy. They are both so great!!

I just love them so much! :)

9 months!

Holy Cow

Such a big girl

Just 3 more months and our baby girl will be ONE YEAR OLD!!! AHHHH! I can't believe we have a 9 month old baby. The past 9 months have been the most fun, amazing, exhausting, exciting 9 months of our lives. Alleah brings so much joy and happiness to our lives. She is such a fun and smiley baby. I absolutely love staying home and spending so much time with her.

Alleah hit a couple milestones this month. Her biggest was pulling herself up and walking along the furniture. Now that she can do that she is constantly climbing on anything she can. Nothing on our tables are safe.
Alleah's other big milestone this month is waving byebye and saying "bababa." It is the cutest little wave ever!!

I was reading in a book what 9 months old should be doing and I am one proud mama because she is doing ALL of them (except 1)!! OH YA! :)

Here's what the book said:
  • May be afraid of strangers: If she doesn't know you... you can't hold her until she warms up to you
  • May be clingy with familiar adults: Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma
  • Has a favorite toy: Kind of... she has one that she really likes... but I don't know if its her favorite.
  • Says: "mama" & "baba"
  • Uses finger to point at things
  • Looks for things you hide
  • Watches the path as something falls
  • Puts things in her mouth
  • Feeds herself
  • Moves things smoothly from one hand to the next
  • Can get into sitting position without any help
  • Pulls to stand
  • Sits without support
  • Crawls
  • Stands, holding on

1 she doesn't do is: understands "no" I barely ever say it to her, but when I do... she looks at me and laughs and then does it more. Little stinker. ;)

I love watching her grow. I do admit; I miss my cuddly newborn! Now that Alleah is really mobile she never sits still. She has to either be crawling, jumping on you, dancing, or climbing. She is one active little baby. She sometimes isn't careful and gets to excited and hits her head, but she just gets right back up and starts going.

In a month or so.. I will be planning her party! I'm just so dang excited to plan it!! :)

I think to myself often (mostly in bed right before I go to sleep) that I am one lucky gal! I (like a lot of people) have gone through a lot of hard times! If it took what I went through to get what I have now.. I'd do it all over again. Watching this beautiful baby grow is the best thing in the entire world! And my hardworking husband working 2 jobs just so I can be at home with her: he is one AMAZING man! :) Love you Joseph Bryant Perry & Alleah Mae Perry!!

Two People in Love :)

How it All Started

Most of my blog posts are about Alleah... So I decided to write one about just Joey and I. :)

A lot of people don't know mine and Joey's story. So here it is:

Both Joey and I went to Richland High School. He was a senior and I was a freshmen. He was really good friends with my older sister. I never really talked to him during my high school years. He occasionally waved at me "so he told me" but I don't remember it. haha sorry. Joey then graduated and took a 2 year mission for our church and I was still in high school. Joey came back from his mission when I was just ending my senior year.

In January of 2011 I was hanging out with one of my good friends at the time Marissa and she invited her fiance along which so happens her fiance's best friend was Joey. Us 4 had hung out together awhile back in September, but joey thought I was dating someone at the time (I wasn't) We all went to institute... left early and then just played games. Even played the video game zombies. I noticed Joey looking over at me constantly. I could see him in the corner of my eye. I had to leave early to get home by then both Keith and Joey were outside playing with air-soft guns... weirdos. haha. Marissa drove me home on the way to the car I got shot in the back of my leg (hurt so bad!!)

I went home. A couple days after that we messaged each other on facebook because the night we all hung out they decided all of us should go paint-balling together. Joey messaged me on facebook to invite me. He then asked me for my number so that he could contact me about paint-balling (ya right) haha just kidding. When the day came I was unable to go paint-balling because of some medical stuff... I felt bad. So that night, my sister and I went over to his house. Brooklyn (my sister) is friends with Joey's younger sister. We just hung out and had a fun time. Played more zombies.

After that Joey would text me randomly just to see whats up. We sometimes would text till 3am. I just loved talking to him. I then invited him ice skating with my family and one of my friends Rachel after a wedding reception he was at for Curtis and Nicole's. After ice skating Joey took off work and hung out with me until 2am. We just talked about random stuff. *nothing happened we weren't officially dating yet*

January 11th, 2011 came along... we went to a hockey game together. Without even realizing it we held hands and cuddled in the bleachers for the first time. After the game we went back to my parents place and we then again talked all night. He finally kissed me. It was the best kiss in the world. It felt right. We then made it official. Later that night Joey confessed to me that he shot me with the air-soft gun on purpose... guess he was trying to flirt with me?!?

A week later Joey told me he loved me. In my mind I was already thinking about it. I knew I loved him, I just didn't want to be the first one to tell him. I waited until he was ready. As soon as he told me I ran and told my mom. I was SOO excited. He's a goofball and mouthed it to me. I guess he was a little chicken to tell me? But I understood. Doesn't matter how he told me :)

When we were dating there was no way to separate us. Joey worked at the airport.. which is right next to CBC (where I went to school at the time) So... He would take me to breakfast on his break every morning. It was so sweet :) We spent so much time together night and day... He lost his job at the airport. He worked dumb hours 4am-1pm. And we were always together till at least 12am so he had such a hard time getting up. Joey then didn't have a job for 4 months so we spent even more time together :)

It was then 3 months after we were dating when Joey proposed to me :) He got my ring specially made. I LOVE IT. We were in Utah at the time. My mom, sister and brother in law were in on the whole thing. A day or so being in Utah Joey asked me on a date. I thought it was weird since we were spending time with family, but of course I agreed to it. :) we went to the nickel arcade then to in and out burger. We drove around to a place where joey "couldn't" find. It was actually kind of funny. He would think it was the place so we would get out and search for where my family set everything up. He kept calling Desiree so of course I thought it was super strange..."why would he be calling my sister on our date?" and of course it was because he couldn't find the right spot. Finally, he found it. We got out of the car.. climbed a hill and while standing on the hill you could look down and see lights on a blanket with roses. Now of course what was going through my head was "... this is definitely NOT just a date" I knew right then and there he was going to propose. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!! :) I started to cry and immediately said YES!! We went down the hill to the blanket that my mom, Desiree and Justin set up. Sparking cider, roses and candles. It was great. We laid there and just talked. Then we went back to Desiree and Justin's and everyone acted like they had no clue what went on... ya right guys!! They were so happy for us. I was just in awww and so happy!!

I still have those roses :)

4 months after that Joey and I got married :) It was such a beautiful wedding :) It was all outside. It was in July so it was very hot! But so pretty!!

1st Kiss as man & wife <3

2 months after that we got pregnant :) And that's how our life changed in a different way.. :) Alleah Mae was born June 1st, 2012.

On August 18, 2012 Me, Joey and Alleah were sealed together as a family by Elder L. Tom Perry in the Salt lake city temple. It was one of the greatest days of our lifes! It was so beautiful. We will never forget it. :)

We couldn't be happier. Our life is so amazing. Our baby girl is so beautiful. Our family is forever. We are so lucky and blessed :)

Hope you enjoyed our story :)
