MEXICO

6th Year Anniversary

The 15th (our actual anniversary) my mom followed Joey, me and the kids to Boise (where we were supposed to fly out early morning on the 17th) Because my mom was heading to Rexburg for my Youngest sister's graduation we left a little early and she ended up driving our 3 kiddos from Boise to Rexburg. Because she did that we booked a nice suite and hung out in Boise for 2 nights. Went to Wahooz and played a lazor game, 4D game, bowling, gocarts, ect. it was alot of fun!
We headed to the airport around 4:30am and flew to Phoenix at 6am. Then had to wait over an hour in Phoenix to fly to Cancun.
We made it to Cancun. Got in our shuttle and drove to the Resort. The driving there is CRAZY!!! As if there's absolutely no rules. Our driver was pretty funny. he kept trying to tell us to ask for ground up cockroaches in tequila haha. la cucarachas idk if I said that right haha. He kept cracking jokes. He spoke pretty good English.
Got the Resort. checked in. walked around and explored AFTER we found somewhere to eat. at that point we were starving from flying and The shuttle drive  The resort was HUGE!! We walked the beach.
The next day we went to breakfast and just relaxed at the pool. The all you can eat and drink was amazing. we had to many. I ate so many tacos by the last day I couldn't even look at a taco.
Most of the time we spent relaxing on the beach. at the pool. walking around. and eating food. It was definitely a vacation for us. My husband was getting a little bored, so if we go again we will try and do excursions. But at the same time we really enjoyed doing absolutely nothing.
We swam at an 18 yr and older pool which was connected to the ocean and fish were right at our feet. I was so scared I was going to kick one.
Some guy was feeding them something that looked white. I walked in... and a couple bit me.. Then I didn't care if I kicked one. I jumped out and ran haha
One morning Joey woke up so early and said he was leaving to go see the sun rise. I woke up in a daze and was so confused. I ended up locking our key in the room. and having to wait till the member louge was open to get a new one. at that point we saw a monkey walk right across the bridge in front of us. We saw a couple geckos, parrots and iguanas too. & what I thought was a giant rat... but we aren't still positive on that one.
We saw a Disney show one night after going to the fancy dinner place men actually have to wear pants at and not shorts. it was good. The show was really good. they sang in Spanish and English. and had them dress up like disney characters. Which was nice since we were at a family resort.
Our last night there my sister and her husband showed up on their honeymoon. we showed them around a bit. Went to dinner. Then went to another show. This show was called Latino night. Most of it was really good. except one part. very sudductive dancing that I hope parents covered their children's eyes haha.
It was so much fun. We don't plan on taking these trips very often but it was nice to be able to.
Raylee had the hardest time being away from me and cried a couple nights.
Alleah cried when she was going to drive with my mom to Rexburg and Joey and I were staying back. both times made me cry. Video chatting sad Raylee was hard. I sure missed my kids. But alone time With Joey... was needed.
traveling back home was EXHAUSTING. Our shuttle driver.. this one didn't talk to us, drove less insane and was listening to Bruno Mars in English. haha. He dropped us off 3 hours before our flight. We flew into Dallas... HUGE airport. Took a skythingy shuttle to our terminal  (4th biggest airport) anyway, had to go thru boarder patrol. We already had 2 hours in between our flight AND then it was delayed 2 hours. waited in the airport for 4 hours. Finally flew into Boise. Then drove to Rexburg that night. Got there at 1am.
Our kids were sooo excited. Joey wanted to get home. So at 11am we packed up and headed on a 9 hr drive to Richland.
Oh man, I was exhausted. but those days of relaxation made it all worth it.
Mexico was a dream.
