Alleah & Raylee

Our girls :)

Alleah is 22 months old & full of energy. She is so much fun but has a little bit of an attitude haha. Lately she has been acting like me with her stuffed animals. She watches what I do with Raylee and then I catch her doing the same thing. Putting diapers on them, puts them in the car seat, pretends to breast feed, ect. Alleah is understanding a lot and talking back for the most part. I love that when I aske her to do something she will do it. So nice she understands what I'm saying. Alleah LOVES juice. I got to be the one to say "no more" because she will drink and drink and drink. But then again I am gonna start hard core potty training so she needs the juice. Alleah is super tall for her age; definitely takes after her dad. She has this thing where she literally calls everyone "momma" do not know why. But we are working on that haha. She understands everything else, but just will call anyone momma.. She loves her stuffed animals. She sleeps with all of them. I bought a toddler bed for Alleah but have yet to build it; hopefully soon. Alleah likes to let me do her hair she says "pretty." The lorax is still her favorite movie, but frozen is a close second. I am planning her party that's the lorax theme. She is learning a lot and growing up so quick!!

Raylee is 2 1/2 months old & doing great :) she can hold her head up, smile & coo. She's a lot chunkier than Alleah was. Raylee is still breast fed & growing like a weed. At 2 months Raylee was 10.05lbs 30th percentile 23.5" long 88th percentile. She's looking perfect. She does have a strawberry birth mark that popped up on the back of her neck randomly, but nothing to be worried about. Her belly button is a little bit of a heria from the umbilical cord as well, but also nothing to be worried about. She sleeps really good at night. Used to just sleep with me or in her rocker, but recently I've been moving her to the small crib next to my bed. First night was tough, but then I put my shirt in there so she could smell me. Worked like a charm. Raylee goes to bed around 11pm-12am and wakes up at 9 for a feeding and then again at 11am. She is then up for most of the day. Funny thing about Raylee is she snores the loudest in our family haha. Love her cute snore :)

Love my girls :)

Kaya

How everything happened:

Valentines day came & I was a little upset Joey hadn't surprised me with anything, but I know he's a busy guy so i didn't let it get to me to much. Even I found time to get Joey & Alleah something since I wasn't taking Raylee out of the house yet so I did when my mom watched her. I wanted to do something for Joey. I bought him a candy bouquet with a lot of the kinds of candy he likes & got him a hockey voucher since he's obsessed with hockey. After Joey got off work my mom came & watched the girls while Joey & I went to the restaurant "fire" I have been wanting their yummy cookie for awhile now haha. Joey still hadn't surprised me I was getting angry at that point. At the restaurant Joey said: "what's the money limit on gifts?" In my head I had spent $30 on him and I didn't want anything huge & just wanted to know he at least was thinking about me. Then Joey told me he'd been thinking about it for awhile but it was a huge purchase so he wanted to tell me before he bought it. He then texted me a picture of a husky puppy (one he found on Google) at first I was kinda worried about getting a puppy but at the same time I was excited. Side note: when we were living in an apartment & before Raylee was even conceived I wanted a dog Joey said if either Dobby (our cat) dies or if we bought a house I could get a dog. Dobby is still alive, but we just bought a house last May. Anyway, he knew I always wanted a dog & we didn't want to get some mut or a random kind of dog for our first dog since we want this dog for the rest of it's life. We decided to get both of our dream dogs. My two favorite dogs are golden retrievers & huskies. I've grow up with a few retrievers but always liked huskies from afar. Joey always wanted a husky too, so it was perfect. The only downside is: they aren't cheap. Joey looked around a few days for the right price. We didn't want to travel a long ways either I think Spokane was our limit. He found a lady in pasco who trains & shows huskies. She had 4 full grown huskies (different kinds) two of them were the parents of the husky pups tho. Alaskan malamutes. GORGEOUS dogs! We knew we wanted a female going there (just easier) so we picked her own. Their collars were by color. We chose the red collar.
Joey went & got her since Alleah was napping I stayed home. Joey came home & I immediately noticed she had a purple color not the red. (The owners were confused I guess) I contacted them & told them what happened she said we could swap the puppies out if we'd like. By then we already loved "purple collar" that's how we got her name: Kaya it's Alaskan that means "stay, and don't go back" it fit her. We pronounce it like "Ka-ya"
She's a good puppy, but with potty training I swear she's testing me. Haha. She's good at night just gotta work on during the day. We are not telling people how much we paid for her, only my family knows. But we do love her! Alaskan malamute females are supposed to get up to 80lbs so she is gonna be huge. We will breed her once to make some money off of her since she's AKC certified & legit ;) haha

That's the story :)
